While we Iranians celebrate the winter solstice aka “Yalda” (longest night of the year) we do not really celebrate the summer solstice (longest day of the year) six months from that, like they do in the northern hemisphere. I’m all for pagan celebration of nature, so I had a great day celebrating in the nature yesterday. If you’re still on the 21th enjoy the sun and have fun as the darkness slowly but surely will take over the next six months!
